Don't think we will get Lukaku, unfortunately. The only way we might get him is if no CL club out there are interested in buying him. But even if he do sign I can guarantee he will include a release clause that allows him to leave if a CL club wants to sign him for a set sum.. say £25M or something unless Everton qualify for CL.

Kenwright has already come out and said he's not doing any more contracts with release clauses.

However if he does and we pay 20m for him I can't see us putting it in for anything less than 40m-50m.

That's becoming more and more likely the case here. I honestly reckon he has just two choices facing him, either come here to us and be the main man or stay at Chelsea and try to prove his worth to Mourinho who clearly isn't keen for some reason.

All this stalling is probably just him and Chelsea waiting around to see if anyone else apart from us shows them a serious hand. Athletico probably sniffed around a bit but weren't serious.
