OK, but if Sky's idea was to drum up more betting interest as has been said above, then why wouldn't they say "Sky sources say Lukaku fancies a move to Italy/Germany? Rather than "he wants to fight for his Chelsea place"?

Remaining at Chelsea isn't even a betting option on Skybet so that makes no sense whatsoever.

In fact, what they've said would have the exact opposite to what has been suggested above! It's more likely to make people keep their cash in their pocket.

Because it's regularly avaiable in other places such as the Mail, Mirror and Metro that they're linking Lukaku with teams like Spurs and Wolfsburg for instance. If Sky don't have the jump on information they'll just control it through their betting and then when it happens say "Well on... such a date that SkyBet had odds of 1/4 for Lukaku to join Everton" so they look like they had the jump on everybody else. They pride themselves on being the premier place for Football news when most of their stuff is absolutely arse gravy.

Not saying people are lying, but all this 'getting number 10 shirts ready' stuff could easily be proved if someone went to one of the 2 shops and asked them? there must be someone who has seen these rumours on here or twitter who has been to town today, if i were closer i'd make a trip just for that reason.

SSN chuck away comment was based on an article released late this afternoon in the independent which states Lukaku is happy to come back and fight for his place.......based on.........wait for it.............the fact he he changed his Twitter profile back to Chelsea days ago FFS
