Id expect we've agreed a fee with Chelsea (possibly before the loan), but Rom is waiting to see who else comes in for him. He doesn't strike me as the sensible type to pick whats right for his football. I could see him joining Real and sitting on the bench each week ala Chelsea but he will be earning 100k a week instead.

I hate the people who work for Everton. They aren't the brightest mate. Offer him the contract and it's give him a deadline. We don't have long until the start of the season. If we don't get him then our 2nd option won't have long to settle in his new home etc

If money continues to go on Lukaku to Everton, then they have to pay out on more.

If they make out he's going to Wolfsburg, then bets stop going on Everton, so they don't pay out as much.

If they reopen the Wolfsburg market, people will assume they are the new favourites, and will put money down on Wolfsburg, which they wouldn't have to pay out on.
