We have something most other clubs don't have...continuity...no major changes. Most people from other clubs said we only did so well due to the loan market...but we have now kept 2 key players from that loan market as permanent players and are adding to the same squad without getting rid of key players. Due to the young age of players like Barkley, Stones, Lukaku in affect we are a better team just by keeping them as they are improving with experience...and then add Besic etc to the mix and probably a loan player or two and we have an excellent team this year.

28 Million is a lot...but at the same time (Combined with Barkley's new contract) it also signals for any future prospect that Everton are serious and intend to be up there in the very near future. Its publicity as well...and indirectly clubs, players etc will be taking note. How many people from other clubs have stated that Everton will never be able to buy someone for that kind of money...joked about it...but if they should start to realize that times are changing and we are slowly climbing back to where we belong...
