well if he does go in the next few seasons we will get anything between 35 to 40 million for him.
 
I think no matter how long we have him for, people will always ask questions of him, is he lazy, is his control poor, should he work harder to chase the ball down, was 28 million too much, etc.

His job is to put the ball in the net and he does that consistently better than anyone we've had since Yakubu.

Until he goes on a massively poor run or has a season where he hardly scores, I don't think the criticism he gets is justified.
 
For all his injury problems and poor form he's still scored 5 in 12. The fact that he's still a 1 in 2 striker even when he's playing below his best is massive for a club like us who have lacked a consistent goalscorer in recent years.

5 in 17 in all competitions. Not bad, but not exactly 1 in 2 either.

Has he played in every game this season? That's pretty impressive tbh considering he's been hurt. Seemed to me eto'o was first choice striker for EL games. I was just looking at his league form.

I'm not making excuses for him - he has looked off the pace in more than a couple games - but the fact that he keeps scoring even when out of form/injured is a very good sign I'd say.
 
For a player who; Never had a proper pre-season, played the first few games of the season through injury & has played a few games at RW, 5 goals in 12 PL games is a very decent return.
