No massive clubs have come in for him yet though and the clubs being linked to him are not as good as us anyway.
The more it carries on like this the more I actually think he will be playing for us. He has nothing to lose. If CL football is important to him he can help get Everton there.

Athletico are La Liga champions and Champs League runners up, they are probably better than us!

Juve & Atletico are a a tad bigger than us at the moment mate.
 
How great would it be if we showed a bit of intent for once and slapped £20 mill on the table for him.
The lad obviously has big ambitions and would love champions league football now but i feel if he stayed with us that he'd get it sooner rather than later. He's definitely got a connection woth Martinez and with the fans you could just tell, why should he go to another team and risk not playing or settling in when its already set up for him here.
Used to love it when he'd turned to the gwladys street and egg us all on, can't stress how much we need to get him!
 

We need him to bomb at the WC tbh.

A thigh strain in Belgium's first game would be a massive blessing in disguise for EFC imo.
 
He changed his Twitter name/handle whatever it's called from @romelulukaku17 to @romelulukaku9 yesterday as he is wearing 9 for Belgium, left his main profile pic as him at The Emirates in his Everton kit though and his sig is still "Belgian International of Everton Football Club" . Straw clutching here but you'd of thought if he was bothered enough to update his number that he'd have also done his picture and sig?
 
i always hold out hope that he would want to help drag a team into the champions league and become a hero rather than join a team already in the champs league who will never win it e.g Arsenal.
