I had high hopes when we signed him but he just doesnt live up to what he should be given his size and physique, he should dominate defenders but most the times looks like he gets bullied around unless he is running at them.

Think he could be a world beater in germany or spain as the league is so much less physical and showed in europe he can dominate defenders with ease, either way id be disappointed to see our record signing leave without fulfilling his potential but i certainly wouldn't complain if we get an offer matching the valuation we paid for him a year ago.

It's debatable if he has the touch to make it in Spain. His best option is to go to PSG or Juve (if Morata doesn't stay there) or someone like that and no it wouldn't be the end of the world however I would be disappointed. I just feel we haven't seen either his best or this team's best and would like Martinez to have another go with one or two major additions.

The other problem with Juve is they won't want to pay big money although maybe if Pogba goes they might have the cash to meet our valuation.

Besides in January he will be hot property as he's not European cup tied and you never know how injuries might leave certain clubs.

Just raw personal ambition. We can't really blame him and we knew he wasn't here for the long term when we signed him. I just hoped this season went better.

Seriously it all was because we screwed up last year not getting a left winger. Going into the season with McGeady or an ancient Pienaar as one of our most important players to provide chances was borderline negligence. The worst thing was we had the money too. We more than likely could have signed Nolito last year, Tadic or whoever.
 

Don't think he'll go this summer unless someone pays £40mil for him. But it's unrealistic to think he'll be here August 2016 anyway - think we've got the year and then he'll be off.

No. It is not just raw ambition...many players have raw ambition and they keep their pie holes shut and respect their team mates and fans.

This is desperation imo.
 
Rom lad get your head out of your arse , you aint half as good as you or your tw@t of an agent think you are.Get your head down keep ya big mouth shut and work hard for the club and fans who pay your wages Maybe one day when you've learnt to control a ball, pass a ball ,win headers use your strength ho and run you just might get the move you want but myself i doubt that very much.C.O.Y.B

If you take out 10 of Costa's goals then he only scored 11 goals last season. Very poor return for 32m.
