Agreed we've needed at least one more for a couple of seasons and that Kone and Valencia have thankfully now gone.
Lukaku going,I'd think two experienced first team ready forwards is the bare minimum plus Lookman and Calvert.

Good point actually we needed another striker even with Rom Kone and Valencia here. All three are going and other than DCL we won't have another striker in the squad.

I'd say we'll need to sign 3 or 2 out and out strikers, and one or two goal scoring midfielders/wingers.

We have so much to do it's scary and knowing how slow we are to do one deal, that's even scarier.

We need to get cracking sharpish.

Willian Jose just seems like a great all around fit to me. Need more than one of course.

I'm with you on this one. I was talking on Twitter the other day with a Spanish Journalist who wrote an article about Willian Jose for 442 magazine. He rates him very highly and has no doubt he has the game to be a success in England.

Dominic King went as far as going in to the payment structure a few weeks back so there must be definite interest.

Look at a list of big spenders.
Look at a list of wage payers.

The other 'big' 6 club's are above us are the predictable 6.

But more than that. I would suggest that the order of their 'successfulness' correlates to the amount they pay.

If we want to break into that elite group then we need to decide if we are prepared to spend and pay similarly. And with all related knock-on issues (such as higher season ticket prices). I'm not sure we will.

Rom is quality.
I'm confident that if he goes this summer with our permission, then we'll get our full asking price or very close.

So... Unless we 'invest' big-time and wisely in the best players then we should be resigned to finishing as top of the premierships 'second division'.

We won't be able to purchase another 25 goal a season striker, so we're going to need a striker and a wide player who are both capable of 10-15 goals a season imo.

Not saying we'll get the deal over the line, but at least give the player a choice to make.

We can't possibly claim we're an ambitious club if we're getting rid of our talented players and replacing them with about 4 Troy Deeney-type players.
