Really not understanding the Garbutt hate on twitter.

Christ, he’s an actual LB.

I can't either. I like the lad from Bristol City and he may well be significantly better, but I'm not sure he's done way more than Garbutt and certainly not at his level. When you consider his Europa league performances etc.

With Garbutt and to a degree Galloway the issue has been they have flatlined over a 2 year period. I suspect with Garbutt there is more going on behind the scenes. If we can't find a Left back I would happily give one or both of the above a run. Even if it was to find out if any could be a useful
backup come the summer.

I'd play him over Martina like but I can' accept how we're falling back on him. He went out on loan and didn't play because he's not good enough, we brought him back and he is nowhere near the first team because he's not good enough. Yet after all the money we spent we're falling back on him now.

I'd like to think that people aren't giving Garbutt any particular criticism because he hasn't done anything wrong. I think people are just exasperated about how we are now turning back to a player all of us know hasn't shown enough either for Everton or the teams he's been on loan at.

Lucky that he has been given a third chance.

The lad was obviously extremely talented, but I've heard that his head isn't in it.

Reportedly on 30k a week and his head isn’t in it
That’s 1.5 million pounds sterling every year.
Something wrong with the lad if that’s the case.
Work till you are 32 , retire and you or your kids never have to worry about money ever again.

Yeah....because money solves all mental or depression issues!!!

..yep, I thought that.

I think they were desparate to get Bolasie back in the hope he would provide us with some attacking threat as well as pace. It’ll be interesting when they push Coleman in.

We had no useful wingers at the time. Kenny is steady enough, no reason to rush Coleman back IMO.
