Who do I want to play instead of Doucoure?

For starters tonight here's the options

Dobbin - similar position he takes up for u21s and has pace
Mcneil - then have Dobbin on the left
Danjuma - then have Mcneil/Dobbin in Doucoure role and Danjuma on the left
Chermiti - let him find the space and play pressing up with a striker

That's literally just off the top of my head and the great thing is, in the main they can all control a football.

I'm not talking about playing like 1970 Brazil, I'm talking about a player being able to

A) control the round thing
B) pass the round thing in a fashion where it helps the teammate to be able to control the round thing

It's embarrassing watching a fella jog around with shins for feet blagging that it's all sound and then fans excusing it as if it's acceptable when there is actual real alternatives

Agree with McNeil potentially playing there, looks far more likely to make something happen when he drifts inside. The way we play I don’t think dyche trusts dobbin or danjuma to do “the hard yards” as he would put it, and likely danjuma doesn’t get a look in coz he won’t be here much longer. Chermiti hasn’t been an option up till now as nobody had seen him play any decent amount of minutes. Was impressive again tonight.

I’m not saying Doucoure should start every game here by the way, just that does it impact more on how he wants to play if he doesn’t. Sheffield united next week would be a great game to try some of the things you’ve suggested, let’s wait and see.

Gana had a great first half as did DCL. Young and Doucoure stunk the place out when they were on. Surely dyche will bring back Seamus next week and perhaps even leave Chermiti in there with Dom. Thought Harrison played very well defensively although going forward he seems to not know what to do when he gets the ball in a position he should be relishing. Went for him as MotM, he gave all he had.

What’s the point? Prime Barcelona with Messi Iniesta Xavi in their team and Guardiola managing them lost 2-0 at home to a newly promoted Hercules side with Drenthe playing in it. Football is bad but look at before dyche was even worse was just pure fear in the squad, could not defend anything that come into the box. Will agree things have to get better
