Nope, flat pricing as far as I know. Don't use it often, but have noticed whenever I do the price has invariably increased.

We went to Dorset via the toll in 2022 and it was a different price on the way down compared to the way back.

Possibly, unfortunately it's a private company who owns it so they're a law unto themselves.

We went down on a Wednesday and came back Sunday, so maybe Sunday prices were different.

I go through regularly in a large 4x4 and the charge is always £8.90, I Geta receipt to claim it back and never been charged more.

Since people obsessed with using enormous 4x4s without needing to, other than a status symbol (in case people doubt they're a blert), clogging up the roads, is a pet peeve of mine, I fully approve of this.

If you're a user of the M6 Toll Road, and especially if you drive a larger 4x4/SUV like a Range Rover Sport/Vogue... as you're probably aware, you can only pay toll charges by either fuel card eg Allstar or by credit/debit car but, if you're driving a larger 4x4/SUV, you are likely to be charged the price for a van rather than a car.

Car charges are currently £8.90
Van charges are currently £13.80

Check your bank statements... and if you're using a fuel card, there's also a transaction fee of £2,50.

I used to use it regularly about 4-5 years a go as I was working at Heathrow.

It was at least £2-3 cheaper. That's a shocking rise now!!

I used to race down there to get through for the cheaper rate before 6am!

I would occasionally use it, but if the traffic is relatively clear you genuinely save about 3 minutes.

Both journeys were at lunchtime, but I’ve just googled it and read that weekends are marginally cheaper than weekdays.

Fortunately users of 4x4s and SUVs can get value for money in other ways such as straddling two lanes while driving and parking in a way that utilises 2 or even 3 spaces.
