He is a decent enough keeper, like every keeper in the league at the moment apart from De Gea, Lloris, Courtois (although he's having a bad patch), Czech and Butland (who's inured).
Hes not had many shots to save tbh our defence has been so solid but may be a lack of practice he did look very static v Crystal Palace, only when it was lat after the goal he seemed to move even the disaloed goal no movement?

Wrong-footed both times, which always makes a keeper look static. You'll see umpteen goals like that every week.
He seemed to wake up near the end that's what matters we were happy with a 1-1 it was a fair result imo!

I thought/said the same to my mate after the game - at the ground he looked really static, but the replay showed he was wrong footed and it was a very well aimed shot both times.
If he'd saved Benteke's shot that'd be on par with some of the best saves we've seen in recent times tbh...
He is a competent keeper, not a world beater. If we were replacing members of the squad, starting with worst he would be here for a while.

Profoundly disagree. A misfiring GK is not just another player on the pitch underperforming. He's cost us points and one of our routes to silverware in the last three weeks.
It was a gamble that is now backfiring. A gamble, moreover, that should never have been taken given how long we've known we had to prepare the way for a successor to Howard.
Point taken, the mistake was not replacing Howard with a good keeper much earlier but that wasn't done and we were left to sort out another Martinez mess. But we are were we are, if we could get a very good keeper then I would have him.
