It seemed to happen every time.

I saw the 62/63 team, which then tailed off apart from the Cup in 66.
The 69/70 team was superb, but again tailed off rather quickly.
After 86/87, ditto.
Here's another pic I took. 23rd May 1985. 1-0 win in an evening game against the RS. Wark the walrus missed a pen. Those six had many a tussle on the pitch. Stevens, Mountfield, Ratcliffe and Bailey, against Dalgleish & Rush.

How frustrating to win the League in 69/70 and have high expectations for coming decade, only to have to wait fifteen or so seasons to win it again :( We really don't appear to know how to set the foundation to build on any success we have.

Absolutely, Cels. I'm fortunate to have seen us win four titles, three FA Cups (I was there in '66 & '84) and a European trophy; a lot on here can only dream of that, let alone win even a single thing...

"Hi mate, yeah, can you just scooch about 4 seats across for a sec"

The blue doesn't look like ours? You need to correct your monitor/screen setting... You're just trying to wriggle out of admitting that you didn't read my post correctly and thought I was a Man City fan. Pathetic!

And you resort to insults, such that the word has been removed. Sad...

As for 1966, I was at Wembley, scoreboard end. Been following Everton ever since my father took me in the mid-1950s...

Boy, did you make some gaffe thinking I was a City fan! :p lol
Think you need your nurse.

Think you need your nurse.

Another insult, eh. I think you need to adopt a mature attitude in your postings.

Just because you got something 100% proveable wrong, there is no reason why you cannot simply admit it, and move on. But no, you continue to resort to insults.

Sad really...

My god, I got something wrong and you will not let it go. I gather from your posts you are even older than me. Either we sort this out in the car park of a British Legion or just let it go and hope OUR team keep up the good work so far.
All the best for the New Year, keep away from Covid and look forward to something to celebrate this season :)

You are the one who will not let it go - posting again days later.

Just go away. Move on...

Don't bite my head off but wasn't that taken from a side not an end?
Yeah, we had them kicking into the Barclay End first half (which they would normally want to kick into in the second half). Norwich have never had away supporters behind one of the goals. I just called it the away 'end'. My bad.
