Man City fans leaving early

Are Man City fans wrong to leave early because they are fed up?

If some of their fans are getting bored of success longing for the days of standing on the kippax in the rain watching relegation battles while shouting dogs abuse at Peter Swales they should come and watch us and reminisce
Yeah, we should be grateful for what we have at the minute. It could all change

I actually regret the wording of the poll question.

In hindsight, I wish I'd have gone down the route of "if you were a Man City fan.... would you leave early?"

Not too surprised about the results, if I'm being honest.

Sadly for the other 13 outside of the sky 6 + Newcastle I cant see any success outside of a middle eastern buyout.

FFP has essentially cemented the CL places for the foreseeable - Chelsea are showing it for the complete sham that it is when clubs like us/Wolves are struggling to spend.

We're struggling to meet payroll. It's not quite the same.

I left early at goodison last year when we were playing Newcastle, it was 2-0, by the time I got to the car I’m sure it was 4-1.
Nothing wrong with that, especially away from home.

Would large swathes of our fanbase leave when winning by a four goal plus margin? No, not many would at all, I certainly wouldn't.

At 4 - 0 down? Yes.
As I've previously noted, there is nothing wrong leaving a game when playing awful and there is no comeback in sight - I agree with this viewpoint. Yet, when you are 4 - 1 up, it is fair to ask if supporters should be leaving.

You can stick your faux sympathy where the sun doesn't shine. Don't need it, don't want it. You can also stick your history nonsense. City have a long and storied history and historically have always been a big club.

You can stick your waffle, City were never one of the "big clubs" until you won the lottery and got given a stadium built for the commonwealth games.

Even now with all the money in the world nobody cares when City win anything because it's bought by Saudi Arabia. Robinho hadn't even heard of you.

Yeah I draw the line at this, City had a history before being bought out, they had some of the most well know players of the day (Bell, Lee, Trautman, Summerbee etc), they went through the absolute dirt worst dropping down to League One and working their way back to establish themselves before the Shinewatra buy out which in turn led to the Mansour one, and even then it took 3/4 years before the trophies started rolling in

City were always a big club.. its peculiar to say otherwise David.

If you could leave 5 mins early to get home an hour early, why wouldn't you
I’ve had this conversation many a time with the brother in law.

Me: why do you leave early ?
Him : to miss the traffic
Me : for what ?
Him : to get home earlier
Me : to do what?
Him : err nothing, just sit on the couch and watch the evening game with the missus pecking my head.

Don’t get it.
Obviously if you have somewhere you need to be.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned earlier (can't be bothered looking back, if I'm honest), however I think the new added time ruling will play a big part.

I know a fan who goes at 87 minutes for pretty much every game, bar important ones. It's not what I'd do, but it's his prerogative as he's driving back to Cumbria.

In the past, he may have missed - on average - five to six minutes. Now, you could miss ten or more minutes, so maybe it appears emptier, quicker.
