I'm of the belief that Besic has a much better passing range than Mac, and that is needed from the holding role. McCarthy was finding form right before he was injured though, and I would like to see if these two could play together. It could become the best partnership in the league, and it would allow Barkley to keep his attacking midfield role behind the striker.

I think it's a partnership that needs to be tried out. It's testament to Barry that he's the one people assume will start. He's had his bad spells but so has everyone in the team except Rom really.
