We’re playing probably the best manager in the world with the best team in the world away from home without three of our best players down the spine of the team. The only chance we have of getting anything from the game is because Benitez is a decent manager but that in itself wont be enough to guarantee we don’t take a beating. Benitez seems to have blinded some people to pure footballing logic recently. We now have swathes of this forum expecting a rotten group of players without their best players to suddenly go away to the best teams in Europe and sweep them away, and anything other than this is proof that the manager should be fired. Bizarre behaviour.

Sensible posting will get you nowhere with the loudmouth mob. Logic is not something that many of them can spell, let alone understand.

I disagree, if he starts and does nothing 99.9% of the fan base will still prefer he got a go instead of Rondon, and if he’d started and scored we’d all be made up.

I mean if it’s 75 minutes and Benitez wants to bring a striker on, how many people here would prefer Rondon comes on instead of him? 3?
