Ferdinand adds to 'injury crisis'

sir alex ferguson says manchester united face as "injury crisis of major proportions" after rio ferdinand went off injured against middlsbrough.

the defender will be out for two weeks after suffering a recurrence of a groin injury during uniteds 1-1 home draw.

ferdinand will miss the champions league semi-final against AC milan on tuesday but might return for the vital premiership game with chelsea on 9 may.

"im only playing with 12 players now, the rest are injured," said ferguson.

how perculiar that the manc scum are without the vast majority of their defence, whilst we are without the vast majority of our attack.

Kaka did look exceptionally good last night. I was surprised at just how fast he was, he made Heinze look as though he was running on sand at times.

It will be a very tough game, Scholes and Carrick will be in the middle, upfront Giggs, Rooney and Ronaldo. We will have our hands full. Oh aye, what is the position on our strike force, if it is down to BT and Mcf upfront, Manure will not need a defence.

I think Maldini is the greatest defender to ever play the game. Just a look at his honours is incredible. Around 1,000 games for Milan, 7 Serie A titles, 4 Champions League wins (plus numerous finals/semi-finals), runner up in both Euro Champs and World Cup, numerous other titles such as Euro Super Cups, World Club Cups etc plus 126 caps for Italy. Absolutely amazing player.

Yeah you can't argue with that, besides he learned from the master himself Baresi.
But against Man Utd he did look very old - I believe the Titanic turn a bit faster than him.
