If we are talking potential new managers, and we seem to be, then I think Moshiri/Brands could do a lot worse than put a call into Pep, and ask him a simple question.
Outside the elite, (we aint shopping there are we?), which manager has impressed you most in your time in England?
I think his response might surprise a few, well, everyone. But HE may well be worth looking at.
chris hughton.. I know peps a fan
On their day, city can do that to anyone. Why is it unacceptable when we're 9th but if we were 7th and lost 6-0 to them, nobody would be calling for his head?
who you on about then ??Nope. Not really given them a game has he? Or maybe he has. Dunno
who you on about then ??
I just don't see anything changing with a new manager.Rather think you're missing the point there m'friend...ermmm, not suggesting it would be acceptable am I...I AM suggesting that I can't see anything changing at this moment under SILVA, more than happy to be proven wrong like....
mate he started real well last season then didn't they end up near relegation after a really really bad run??!!He, Pep that is, was really really impressed with the Bristol City manager when they played a cup game last season. Bristol got a replay at home, and were arguably the better side. Away.
Young lad, changes it around, players play. He can go on runs of defeats tbf, but he can also do the opposite. (13 odd unbeaten atm). Granted, one off cup/free hits games can disguise failings.
Food for thought.
edit. Beat United same season as well.
There are a few promising young managers in the championship but it would be a risk appointing any of themHe, Pep that is, was really really impressed with the Bristol City manager when they played a cup game last season. Bristol got a replay at home, and were arguably the better side. Away.

The guy who just joined Stoke and has lost four out of five games so far?He, Pep that is, was really really impressed with the Bristol City manager when they played a cup game last season. Bristol got a replay at home, and were arguably the better side. Away.

He did this at Chelsea? The first thing Benitez does is take on the hierarchy at whichever club he’s at and thereby position himself at the top of the “ power pyramid “ within the club - he did it at Liverpool and he’s tried to do it at Newcastle. He met his nemesis in Ashley at Newcastle.
He’s a very unpleasant human being, with potential to do great and lasting damage at a club like Everton.
He would also split the fan base worse than anything we saw with Allardyce.
Last year’s play off runner up is free - Steve Bruce!Of course.
To be fair he did well at Liverpool until Hicks & Gillette turned up. He’s also done OK with Newcastle. Nothing magical, but has fared quite well. Especially when you consider he put his reputation on the line to compete in the Championship. He did this at Chelsea?
