Unfortunately the more succesfull any club become the more daytrippers and gloryhunters they attract

Dont forget though United have always had and always will have a large hardcore of 'real' fans local lads and lasses and people from allover the UK

they spent 28 years trying to buy it and then when they threw caution to the wind with a load of kids who they'd brought through, well as they say, the rest is history.

being surrounded by mancs and kopites i like to remind r/s that they have become what they despised about the ushoited fans of the 80's. start of every season it's we're gonna walk it this year, speaking like they've a right to say it cos they've won it every year for the last 20. i even suggested they should started singing the chorus from 'how was it for you' by james on the mound of melts, "i've become the kind of fan i've always hated"

Liverpool supporters say the same thing about Everton, and it annoys me to be honest.

City is a big club, mate, as proved by their attendances during their spells in the wilderness. If you remove the glory-types from United, I doubt there's a huge difference between the two clubs.
