For the record Southampton deserved that win too. They worked hard, played as a unit and got the 3 points.

I don't know about illusions but you are clearly deluded if you can't accept that we are in several seasons, not one, of transition. We are in the first half of the first season of transition. If you can't accept that you are in for a rough time.

literally every single team in league football are in transition, going from manager to manager... total BS it is.
 

Watching United get absolutely destroyed by that lot, looking back at our efforts against City and the RS we suddenly don’t look too bad by comparison.
I get that so far all we have to show for our efforts against the Sky 6 is a single point and a plethora of missed chances but compare that to previous seasons where we weren’t even making those chances?! I mean last season Fat Sam describes us as too adventurous after getting a 4 nil spanking from Spurs!! We are moving in the right direction. It will have it’s frustrating moments like Newcastle and Watford but I honestly believe we are heading in the right direction.

We shot ourselves in the foot in the opening 5 games really mate. That was fine in many ways. The new players weren't integrated in and it took Silva more than just pre-season to get the players organised enough. Against Wolves we were robbed by some awful officiating and against Bournemouth Richarlinson cost us the game with a stupid decision. If you add another 4 points to our total we look very healthy, comfortably in 6th. Thats been our form since those games.

I saw United today, being hammered by Liverpool. The performance we put in against them, and indeed City the day before was light years ahead of that. A bit more ruthlessness is needed but we are going the right way. The team that started yesterday was 24 in average age and the team that ended was 23. They will get better.

Absolutely. We still need a first class striker, but we have shown we can play some good football....
 

We started pre-season with Koemans shower.
We have moved on.
We have a much better squad than this time last season.
We are playing much better football than this time last season and how we ended last season.
Marco has only been here for a few months.
We are probably already over-achieving, hence the bizarre expectation in some parts.
Enjoy the progress we have made.

Over achieving? We've spent bucket loads of money again and we have less points than last season. This is the reality lol.

We've drawn or lost at home to almost all the teams we beat last season, dodgy officiating or not that's really poor and with the top 6 so 'open' this year I feel like we've missed a big chance
