Still feeling quite worried about our situation at the bottom. Everyone will pick up points because there are no clearly terrible teams, and at some point it’s just about who wants it most and who is luckiest. And we certainly haven’t been lucky so far this season...

Only real positive is City showed us the job Carlo has to make us competitive against the best teams is going to be difficult but not impossible

Hopefully give a better show against them lot at the weekend

Would honestly prefer Aguero playing against us rather than Jesus, always has a field day against us, never known him not to score at least once. Could easily have had four, Pickford did not cover himself in glory, with the City goals either. For two thirds of the match City tore us apart, what gave me heart, was Ancelotti, made two changes and made us better, more threatening, honestly thought we gave them too much respect. Another promising cameo from Kean, hand a big hand in our goal. They deserved to win no complaints.

Head says 2-1 City
Heart says "Any more of this football nonsense and I'm exploding before you get anywhere near 40"

Nice one brain. Now how about Liverpool 0-3 Everton and Everton 8-0 Brighton.... oh no, doesn't work like that does it.

I thought Claudio or Claudia or Carlo was up against it against a vastly superior team. The Ferguson spirit he was praising only goes so against the big boys. Although the result was only to be expected I had hoped we would put in a decent display. Cheque book out Claudia or Carlo or Claudio.

.....sadly, it looked like a game we turned up expecting to lose. Tiredness might have played a part, but a number of key players who have done well recently disappointed (Sidebe, Richarlison and Holgate). Bit disappointed with attitude.

Thought Coleman did ok, but a sign of his position in the pecking order when he was brought off and Sidebe stayed on. Throughout the match, I thought Mina displayed attitude and performed ok, he gets my MoM.

You got it there Eggs, we went into this thinking we can't beat city. Did not compete. Result could have been a lot worse. Couple of things clear -

Davies is not good enough for us to progress with.

Siggy past it time to get rid

Delph this season only and get shut, really should never have been signed.

Walcott should also be moved on.

I am sure Carlo will have learnt a lot form this of what is required.

Carlo will have to tweak it so we are set up to win, we can’t let them just attack. I would play a Kean up top, it’s the cup we will be very lucky to get through so it’s worth a go.
