Hope Carlo gives them a rocket if, as suggested, hes been vocal about the back passing lark. We may as well go long ball and bypass the midfield as theres noone there capable of a creative through ball..or even retaining possession. Hopefully, the aimless ambling about will stop and they'll step up a gear and lets see if Delph and Davies have had a forward gear transplant at half time.

There has been very little quick ball Everton have wasted, for me this is exactly how Carlo wants the game to go. This is a masterclass in how you beat Man City.

We need to improve goin forward . But we have frustrated them and will now mean they have to come at us more leaving more chance to hit them on the break.
Carlo will tweak things at half time.
Said before the game a draw be a great result. Still stands.
7 of that city team would be starters for us every week.

7 haha?.

Great to be all square at half time but need a good team talk from Carlo. Even though this is City, we have to do better as our own play hasn't been good enough imo. They are too scared which is causing poor passing, poor pressing, too much passing back and then lump it and lose it, no service whatsoever to the attackers.

Come on blues, lets have a good 2nd half please.

You may or may not be wondering about the confusion at the Etihad with Riyad Mahrez ruled offside, then VAR checking for a penalty and why the play was started again from the off-side position.

Just had a quick chat with the Premier League about guidance on the Mahrez offside/ penalty decision. I will bullet point it the best I can:

1) On field decision was offside.

2) Because there was a possible penalty VAR had to check this.

3) VAR then checked offside and deemed Riyad Mahrez onside.

4) It then checked the penalty, and deemed Riyad Mahrez had handballed it.

5) As VAR can’t check every offside decision (only does so for penalty and goals) play resumes from the original on-field decision.
