Nope. You don't take insurances either wanting your house to burn down.I know but you must want that bet to come up and want city to beat us.
Plus, Pejic or Van Den Hauwe would still batter any of today’s players, regardless.
Its changed loads mate your a athlete first then skils come secondBe interesting to see how the likes of Salah would cope with tackles from behind, and generally being kicked all game.
It's a daft argument comparing old players to new players. People like to say 'the game has changed so much' but has it really? The fundamental skill-set required to be a top player hasn't changed. If we suddenly reverted back to 1980's pitches, fitness regimes, balls and tactics, all the current best players would still be the best players. Likewise, players of yesteryear would still be the creme de la creme if they'd had today's conditions.
There's an argument for fitness levels being much higher today, but then due to conditions, rules and equipment, matches are generally less physically demanding these days and rotation was unheard of 30 years ago.
No Alvarez and Grealish starts by the sounds of itDe Bruyne starting on the bench for City, apparently. Don't shoot the messenger,
No games are winnable when it comes to this lot.Damage mitigation and then 3 winnable games

Where not comparing salah to gray where comparing salah to previour eras isnt thst the whole arqumentYeah, don't buy it.
The athleticism comes from years of academy work and an understanding of sports science. Yesterday's players would still make it to the top in today's game.
Skills are what separate Mo Salah from Demarai Gray. Or are we just saying Salah is 5 x fitter? Total fallacy that people involved in football look for athleticism first and skills second.
