3-1 United, Lukaku with two.

There has yet to be a mindset change at Everton where the club can go to big clubs and effectively compete.

Nah surely not as that means one of Lukakus goals would actually count..

1-3 to us

Come on EVERTON!

Well we went to Arsenal and were by far the better team for an hour.

Created two really, really good chances that we didn't put away. That's not really a 'mentality' issue.

However, we did crumble once we conceded.

I don't fancy us to keep a clean sheet on Sunday, United are out to prove a point again. But I do fancy us to have more than enough quality to really, really trouble their defence.

I'm not particularly confident of a victory, but I'm not at all thinking there's a mentality issue, because I simply don't buy it.

Silva will go out there to win. If we take our chances, we'll do just that, same as any game.

This will be a test, I still think it will be hard, because despite their performances they are still a good side, I think confidence is key, if we show we can compete with them I think we'll have a chance. I think we'll need a goal at least to get anything on Sunday, hopefully we'll get something.

Their most recent success away at a “big six” club was against United in December 2013 – the club’s only victory at Old Trafford in the last 26 years – while Everton have not won at Manchester City for eight years, Tottenham for 10 years, Liverpool for 19, Arsenal for 22 and Chelsea for 24. Silva stared long and hard at a list of those results that was presented to him on Friday, and asked if he could keep it afterwards, before insisting a combination of quality and character was required to improve Everton’s record from Sunday onwards.

It’s mad that he was unaware but I like the fact he kept the sheet to use as a motivational tool.
At least two will be shattered this year...calendar lines them up for us nicely...go Blues!

I am not sure about this.

Our new manager said he always plays to win and we have signed Bernard,Gomes, Walcot,Tosun and Digne who all come from backgrounds where they were used to winning.
Surely it will rub off on the others.

tbf, who would tell him? we've got such a rich history, he'll still be being taught that. He would have hardly been interested in everton's away form at arsenal when at watford, for example. Glad he's asked to keep it though.

Yeh, he really knows now that it will further endear him to the fans if he can get 3 points here.
