Davies and Gomes were decent tonight. Doucoure driving like an effin screwdriver again. Great showing. Richy really needs a break. His performances have been so meady of late. Will take a point
 


I think we would have taken a point before the game and certainly at half time, lets make no bones about it we were poor 1st half. 2nd half was much better but they still dominated the ball as you would expect the home side to do and DCL comes up with a goal to gain us a point... I am left thinking what could have been if we had taken that belief in the 2nd half and had a go from the off.

Their 1st goal, I dont think you can do much about. Cavani has found a yard and the delivery was good, if you want to be ultra critical you could say that a couple of our lads could have got tighter.

What if.... Fernandes doesnt get his shot off... Their 2nd was definitely avoidable, he should have been closed down and then that shot doesnt come in.

What if...... DCL scores that 1 on 1 at the end of the 1st half

What if... Olson saves McTomineys header, which I think he should

We could quite easily have walked away with 3 points, would we have deserved that? No. Did we deserve 1 point, again probably not but we will take it all day long.

The team need 90 minute performances, I still think there are quite a few players that still need replacing that get in our squad every week if we are to kick on. As I have said previously earlier in January when we were still within reach of CL would have been the time to add, but it wasnt to be.

All we can do is have faith in the powers that be and hope that brings us back to anywhere near where we were 30-odd years ago. For me I am 42 and for the majority of that time we have been terrible, one trophy in that time and many lows thats why I doubt good things can happen to us, I dont really know any different. Just disappointment.

Well, that was a rollercoaster of emotions!

There were times during the game I was unhappy with us being timid or frustrated with individual player's but I'm very happy with the point.

Gomes, Davies and Doucoure were the standout performers for me. I didn't think I'd be typing that last weekend about the first two! Not just in industry but also ability. I went with Gomes as MotM, best player on the pitch in my opinion.

I do feel we deserved a draw but wouldn't have felt hard done to with a loss because I thought they were more proactive. That said it could be a real confidence booster. A last minute equaliser away from home against the second place side who've beaten us twice this season.

Though I thought we were timid for large parts of the game we came from behind twice and didn't give up. A truly earned point.
