I’m sorry but where do people get off these days live streaming themselves watching a football game with loads of graphics around them like they’re not just some bloke who’s spent all their money on film equipment because they haven’t spoken to a female since secondary school?

I agree with you - its just another way for people to make money/get famous. Most of them anyway. They're not trying to be level headed or reasonable or anything, apparently that's boring. I think this happens at bigger clubs because they have more supporters so they have to be more extreme to get viral.

Also not having a go at you, just a general comment, but everyone seems to do the whole - why don't people get a girlfriend type comment or they haven't seen someone of the opposite sex for aeons. I even had the same debate with my wife today lol, its not about getting a girlfriend or getting a life. There are just some people that are wired differently. Anyways needed to get that off my chest.

Yeah as someone who has a youtube channel... youtube basically knows when there are likes/dislikes/comments and it goes up the youtube algorithm. Getting people to comment is really important, probably more than a like. dislikes does bring the views down a bit but doesn't kill the video unless the ratio is really bad. The thing is we're getting really silly, extreme thumbnails on youtube because the biggest thing is getting people to click the video and everyone prefers to click those type of videos so they keep beating the normal thumbs. Also a creator will keep making the same type of content if people keep watching just to please the algorithm. If you make something else, the viewers will go away, so they have to make the same thing again. It's a depressing kind of cycle.

Looked again closely at the highlights. Their third goal for me was lucky, Olsen slipped if not for that clearly he would have saved it.

100%. McTominay is getting a head to the ball, but there's no direction or intent to score, he just got lucky. That's compounded when Olsen's foot goes from under him as he leaps. Otherwise he makes a comfortable save.
