Didn't really deserve anything but it is a tough fixture and our first defeat in 5 games so can't be too despondent. Coleman played well until the mistake but we were lucky to not be more than 1-0 down at the time anyway, yet another useless referee and VAR again as the challenge by Maguire on Gray was a penalty and all we got was a corner when I was 0-0 and how McTominay didn't get at least a booking was baffling.

First time Dyche got his tactics wrong first half and let’s be honest if it wasn’t for Doucoure being a knob he wouldn’t have changed it. Second half was much better, we still look more solid and have more an idea of how to counter attack effectively than we’ve had for two years and I’m still confident he’ll keep us up.

That was the hardest game of the run in, at least we didn’t get slapped for goal difference thanks to Pickford!

Can't stand McTominay anyway. He ought to have got at least a yellow.

Think in hindsight I’d have preferred to have seen Garner on as a direct (formation) replacement for Doucoure.
Think he can spot a pass and doesn’t mind trying a long distance rocket.
Wonder why Dyche didn’t fancy him though.
Because he doesn't actually do anything

They're a decent team. Not sure many of our players would get into their side, maybe just pickford?

Anyway, there's more winnable games than this one so let's try and stay positive.
Fortunately today wasn't our current norm. I suppose it's better to have a bad game against a team we weren't expected to beat. I still think we'll survive.

Agreed. Just don't think Simms is ready to start up top yet especially away to bigger teams. Maybe v Fulham especially if Onana is injured. Anyway let's hope our rivals fail to pick up points this afternoon. We go again next week. Try and have a good Easter blues.

It wasn't that hard to just replace Doucoure in a similar system and he decided not to. He deserves full blame for it.
