I would be very interested to see what they claimed were 'Green' signings, because United's signings have been incredibly poor on balance for the last decade. They've been fueling a string of rubbish signings with commercial might for a decade, and the problem with that strategy is that eventually the music runs out once the sponsors figure out they want to be associated with excellence, not mediocrity.Sky Sports did a RAG (Red, Amber, Green) rating of all United's signings since 2013 and to be fair it was quite interesting. They've signed some absolute dross!
They haven’t got a clue what they’re doing.
Zlatan and Bruno Fernandes were the only green signings, which says a lot to me.I would be very interested to see what they claimed were 'Green' signings, because United's signings have been incredibly poor on balance for the last decade. Elon Welsby? Put him on the phone! He probably rang Bill to buy us only for Bill to say “Elon who?” before putting the phone down.
It's a start tbh, refusing to pay high wages, why they are in the mess like us, too many on high wages and can't get rid.
That honestly sounds about right. Thanks for letting me know.Zlatan and Bruno Fernandes were the only green signings, which says a lot to me.
Manchester United players and staff losing patience with moody Cristiano Ronaldo
Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff, and players within the Manchester United squad, are growing increasingly frustrated with the conduct of Cristiano Ronaldowww.thetimes.co.uk
Those 200k wages are like us paying 40k with the difference in income. What they need to do is pay the correct people that money.
Think it more down to agent fees for his mother and signing on fee.
I think they expected loyalty from a mercenary that came to the club (when he was young) for the promise of playing time at the highest level and competing for major honors. What did they expect? Ronaldo wanted to leave, he has high standards and probably wanted a few more trophies in the few years he has left as a player. Of course he is going to act out he hasn't got the time not to.
If they were wise they should try and agree to amicably cancel his contract, leaving him a free agent to find a new club and them with a 600k+ cheaper wage bill.
