tbf the aggro on this thread and on the “todays football” thread is probably more exciting than the match would have been.

If you were planning on watching it...why would you do that to yourself on a Sunday, though?

Two sides of the same coin, those clubs. They just fight over whose spoon has the highest percentage of silver in it.

I couldn't care less about them or The Glazers. I never heard them complaining when Fergie was in charge.

Spoilt sods.

Incorrect, they were protesting during the Fergie years. Don't you remember the Green & Gold scarves campaign?

This Super League thing has just been the straw that broke the camel's back for most. Not willing to just grumble on social media anymore, they've had enough and are taking action. As long as they do so peacefully then all power to them and any true football supporter should be backing them.

Same basic complaint though, money...there's been talk about "eating each other" in regards to ESL. That's exactly what's happening between fans and owners in some cases.

Inappropriate Language

Yes, made headlines that at the time. As did a few other ex-players and notable United supporters.

The United support, I don't like them in general but it's completely wrong to suggest today was just about them being annoyed their team is crap and those who went to stadium to protest were all drunken hooligans. Today was a group of people standing up for the soul of the game in this country and, for my money, achieving a massive victory. Making themselves impossible to ignore by the greedy ogres who hold are all the power and are abusing it.

Sky two weeks ago were all for fans protesting like this. Now they're livid because they've lost their marquee match of the season? Get to holy f***. Lost all respect for that Dave Jones being a total company shill, a spineless little drone. Souness is just a vile, Tory b-word who looks down his nose at working class people.

Up the peaceful protesters, I hope they carry on this campaign and supporters from other clubs follow their example until these despicable owners are all legged.
