Marcel brands is the man who has let us down

Callum Wilson & Danny Ings both have dodgy knees/injury records. Yes they're scoring a few goals but too much of a risk.

Jamie Vardy would never want to sign for us.
Lukaku has been and moved on. Maybe one day he'll come back but that won't be for a while.

DCL is improving but he needs support we can't rely on his 10-15 goals a season alone.

When u have the lowest goal scorers in the league in cenk and d c l anyone who knows football is all about goals we should of signed proven prem goalscorers like .callum wilson . romelu lukaku . jamie vardy. and dare i say it danny ings. If we would of had any of them we would be top 4 now the chances we have missed but no marcel goes and gets a kid from italy who already looks like a rabbitt in head lights i am not saying silva hasn,t made mistakes because he has but the prem is hard with out a genuine goal scorer

The club has been in turmoil for a few years and certainly for a period before Brands arrived. The situation with deadwood is not his fault. The previous management teams are responsible for that mess which in turn is hampering his current ability in the market.
The loss of Gomez and Gbamin to injury is not his fault and it has had a massive impact on performances.
He knew Delph’s injury record, but given the number of central midfielders in the squad and the price we paid, it was a worthwhile risk.
Not using Kane in any sensible way has been criminal, and again, not his fault.
He can be questioned about the lack of a central defender and whether an experienced striker could have been found for the money Kane money, but a decision was taken to go with youth.
in the main his signings have been reasonable and better than the previous incumbent. They have value and can be sold, unlike the unshiftable deadwood.
He has also not been able to but young players because of the ban, again not his fault.
Getting rid now is the last thing we need. What is required is a period of stability. There has been way too much turmoil.
He said when he came that he didn’t have a magic wand and it would take several years to start seeing results.
The surgery required on the squad has just been too great because of the shape it’s in. It will still take several more years to sort out as well.
We need to get to a place where we are only looking at 2 or 3 players rather than 5 or 6. We need a settled squad and a stable management team.

Lose to the champions of England after a good run of positive results so let’s blame marcel brands?!!how about the players just couldn’t compete with Man City I don’t remember brands kicking a ball yesterday and silva has been gone weeks now.stop putting the blame on anyone but the team on the pitch

In spite of injuries to Gbamin Schneidelin,Gomes,Iwobi we have seen results improve when Marco Silva was sacked.

The squad is far from complete but it was always said that it would take more than a couple of transfer windows to make it complete.
The improved results show that recruitment was not really ever the issue.

That's too sensible a post mate. I agree with the others though that we should really continue with the scattergun approach stockpiling as many footballers as possible in case one works. I mean centre forward we only have Richarlison, DCL, Walcott, Tosun, Kean, Niasse, Iwobi and even Bernard could probably go up top. If it goes wrong we only have another player to pay out the remainder of his contract, I'm sure that won't cause lasting financial harm... :hayee:

Well at least we’ll win the biggest squad in the league competition!
