Delph 90k a week
Digne 90k a week
Kean 50k a week
Iwobi 50k a week

All these 7 add up to 630k a week 33mill a year on wages for this merry band of Brands men.

Not one ounce of leadership quality in any of them.

And Brands still gets credit.

I would say both Delph & Digne have a leadership quality.

Does anyone know - really - how much it costs to get rid of players before their contract is up ? Is it a simple case of having to pay off their contract?
E.g. Niasse, Martina, Schneiderlin - do we have to just pay off their contract and they can go?
so it doesn't save us money to get rid of them, but if they went even on a free transfer today, we'd save their 6 months' wages, correct?
No, don't think so.

I would think that you first have to pay up the contract, then they only become a free agent?

Ok, please explain.

Delph has produced absolutely nothing of value to the playing side since he has arrived but has aliented himself from the fanbase with his bizarre twitter spat. Has reportedly blamed Carlo for the Lpool defeat and has spoked proudly in newspapers about swearing and berating younger players during games.

Digne started very promising in his everton career but has always shown defensive weaknesses. His form has deteriorated badly this season.
I have never seen him organise or inspire anyone.

Well this was based on 'leadership' as per your comment

Delph - Has captained every club he has played for and had worked under some great managers - your basing this on twitter and the papers.
Digne - Again has been captain at youth level, not sure about PSG and Roma and he was Everton captain and regardless of form he has been one of the better players for a long period of time. He always fights and I'v never seen him give up.

So i would disagree

It must be easy for Brands, some of the unique selling points of the club at the moment are - out of all cup competitions, recently in the EPL relegation zone, happy to sack managers every couple of seasons, squad full of limited or lazy players, disgruntled fans, debt-ridden accounts, threat of glaswegian kiss after a loss.

I'm sure the best players are queuing up to sign.

Digne was getting laced by a 16 year old not 5 days ago. You sure about that?

Again i was referring to 'leadership' him being laced by a 16 yr old doesn't detract from him being a leader. Rooney was lacing some of the best players in the world at 16, doesn't mean the players were not leaders.

If Digne is now on the fans radar for abuse, then shows the level of knowledge and short memories of some fans. Sad to see.
He’s not been himself for ages now some people saying he was a big fan of silva and they think he will leave in the summer if he doesn’t sign a new deal.

I think until his injury he was doing well, and 'people' know nothing. The new mangers only had his foot in the door a few weeks. He is at the bottom of the list for players people should want gone.

Fair enough bue, dont disagree. Digne does fight and doesnt give up but that should be standard for any footballer at this level and generally is.

The difference between fighting/never giving up and leadership is a whole new level.

Its accepted Delph was disrespecting everton fans on twitter immediately after our worst result in many, many years. The club have said they are arranging a meeting with him. I dont care if he has a duke of edinburgh gold award - he is clearly everthing a leader isnt.
