It is to be honest. Two keepers on the bench, which shows how poor our youth setup is and how Unsworth fails to prepare them for the step up. 5 subs, 8 pointless games, should be an opportunity for plenty. Instead you've got Stek who has been useless, Joao who got sent back by Reading taking up two spots. Beni who failed at Wigan or wherever he was.

Steve Walsh and Brands as the DoF have absolutely wellied our chance to catch up.

Show me the last time Ancelotti worked without a DoF. In his book he says he relies on somebody else to do that job.

Which makes it really really important for us to find the right man for the job. Anyone who pays what he did for Iwobi shouldn't be in the job. It's like a had a bidding war with himself.

At the mo I would say Richarl + Holg are our only good players. DCL is almost good but not quite yet. Then we have a few OK and a LOT of bad.

CB, CM x 2, Winger x2 and an extra a striker, all apparently on a shoe string.

Rico aside, he's bought average and below average players. We need upgrades in so many positions but if we just keep on buying players who aren't good enough, we will never improve. This window for me is crucial. I'm not expecting a load of signings but I am expecting quality. No more, he'll be OK on a free or, he's slightly better than Walcott, or he's better than Davies lets get him in. We need players who make a difference, top 6 quality please........
