The difference is Zat, Brands actually knows what hes doing, unlike, well, you...........

Its not the window for massive changes Zat, Brands keeps telling you this.

Its ok saying sell players, its replacing them in a winter window, just wait till the Summer.
Why’s it surprising? Not many teams want to buy absolute dross for a fee that’s actually worth something to us.

Their values will only go one way...

Its the wages that will be the problem. There’d be loads of teams who would happily pay £10-£15m for Schneiderlin, Tosun, bolasie etc, but they won’t pay them £100k a week. The players won’t accept pay cuts and so we end up loaning them out or keeping them. We’ve just monumentally cocked up our transfer policy over the last 4-5 years and the chickens have come home to roost.

Wish we could track his phone, see where he is in the world so we can speculate as to which players we don't know he's signing.

I keep extending the area search for tinder hoping I will find him and how many miles he is away from me, from there I can hopefully work out where he is and who he’s talking to, havnt managed to find him yet

Rico
Fosu-Mensah Mawson Chambers Sessegnon

On paper that’s a pretty solid but attacking back line that should be doing much better in the PL. I blame the management a lot.

Sessegnon isn't a full-back, at least not at this level, not yet. He's played on the wing. They signed Bryan to play LB.

Fosu-Mensah - again, an unproved kid. There's a lot of difference between going into United's side and then having to start regularly for a newly promoted team. No shock to see him go back.

I like Mawson, but he's kind of a poor man's Keane (and that's saying something). Never got the hype with Chambers and Rico hasn't been good in about two years.

So, at risk of going off topic, I'd say that back line is anything but solid, tbh, mate. There's no leaders there. The management didn't help, but given the style of footy Fulham play, it was always going to be a big ask.

I'm not sure it is to be honest. None of the defenders have ever finished in the top half of the PL when playing regularly for their club, and Mawson and Chambers have both been relegated before, so it's not a huge surprise that they're down there again I don't think. Rico hasn't been as good as I thought he might be though.

It’s clear now that he is front and centre to Moshiri and DBB’s plans. I expect he probably holds the pen on who is the manager and whether or not they are performing well enough in the future. It is more comforting that there’s finally a football man on the Everton board.

@BlueToff

Yeh I mean all subjective but on paper it is to me especially if they didn’t play such expansive football Mawson was great on the back foot at Swansea, Chambers great at Boro in a defensive lineup. Fosu-Mensah just doesn’t seem to have been coached properly as he has all the tools. Sessegnon agreed is a winger it just didn’t seem as fancy writing the name Bryan in there. Rico has dropped off a cliff somehow.

Were Mawson and Chambers 'great' though?

I'm not at all blaming them for their respective teams going down, but if they were so good, surely they'd have stayed up? If they really were 'great', if you get me.

Just think Fulham bought way too many players, without an idea of how to play them. Kind of like us in 2017.

Well not sure I have to remind you football is a team game mind haha.

Absolutely, but they didn't add enough to their teams to stop them conceding lots of goals and going down...

They're both players that I think would be better off at clubs in mid-table (tbh, us), but they aren't ones I back in a relegation scrap. Fulham were always gonna be in a scrap, because the way they played under Jokanovic was far too open in the Champ, never mind the Prem.
