He’s signing from Belgium and wasn’t cheap. Maybe see if he’s actually any good in England before saying there’s value to be had in the January window.
I said "admittedly he is more than we would like to have spent" but the kid shows really good promise. In an area we are SORELY lacking in I would have thought we would have made a single signing, even a loan, to get us to the summer. Just really poor imo..

Relax dude, 14 games left to play for Europe, we’ll be fine.

I honestly don’t understand why he gets so much stick for not selling Niasse or Martina.

You all sit there typing during the minutes they play laughing at them, wondering if they won a competition to get on the pitch & then have the absolute gall to wonder why no PROFESSIONAL football team wants to spend money and wages on them.

Some of you clearly didn’t finish school.

You can't blame the guy for failing to sell unsaleable assets. It'd be like blaming the sales department at Goldman Sachs for failing to offload the firm's CDOs in October of 2008.

What we can judge Brands on is the summer windows. The first one was very good. The jury is still out on the second one, but at best it's a significant step backward from the first one.

We're going to learn what we do, or do not, have this summer. I'd have liked to see us at least pick up another mid for the rest of this season on loan, but in fairness he did have to scramble after the Gbamin setback and in our present financial situation that's asking quite a bit.

I don’t know anyone blaming him for not selling useless garbage. That is unfair and unrealistic.

People are wondering why he left Silva in the dogdoo last summer. Why he hasn’t brought anyone in to help Ancelloti and why he hasn’t bought 1 player with 1 iota of leadership quality in all the time he’s been here,

I won’t bother why he hasn’t tried to sign a goal scorer or a commanding centre half.

Except he did try for a CB, but the Portuguese clown was insistent on bringing Zouma back, long after the door closed

What about the goal scorer? What about the pityful money we got for gueye? What about not one of his signings having anything about them when it really matters or we have to dig in away from home.
Is that Silva’s it the kitmans fault also?

How much, realistically, where you expecting for Gana? Given his age

Not got anything about them? They’ve shown more under better coaching since Silva left, despite dropping points the last two games, games that we would have lost under Marco

Just for emphasis 14 league games under Silva this season yealded 14 points, 9 games under Ferguson and Ancelotti combined currently - 16 points

We already have a goal scorer in Calvert Lewin because we have allowed him time to mature in the side.
We have another young talent in Kean who similarly will likely need time and patience before he begins to fully realise his potential, a journey which is already begun.
We already have Richarlison.
Siggurdson when on form also scores plenty.
A good manager can build a successful team with what he has available, a poor one covers up his inadequacies by demanding a constant stream of expensive reinforcements.

Tbh id sell Davies, i don't ever think he will be good enough, he struggles with the basics and he has been playing a few years now. Gomes id keep for now although i don't rate him, other than a brief purple patch whilst at Valencia he has never strung more than 3 good games together his entire career, his form is a concern if we ever want to really push up the table or challenge for europe, it will have to improve. Tbh mate other than Richarlison, Digne, and DCL id take an offer for any of the players, i find them all very average not poor or rubbish just average.

I think theres 13 ish players out of a 23 man squad who we can keep and be 'happy' with.

The centre mid area is truly shocking...Davies stays as hes home grown and 21. But not fussed if he stays or goes.

Gomes and Gbamin can return at a lower par as well leaving us with eight below average midfield options

Hopefully he bites the bullet on delph and punts a lot of them.

Hes spent 86m over 4 transfer windows.

We can sell Richarlison tomorrow for that and get at the least our money back on everybody else.

Yet you speak of value.

LOL

£86mil ? Show your workings please...
