It's also his job to give recruit players, yet we have the same past it RB as when he arrived 3 years ago.

Yeah maybe so, I would hope that is the case as the last thing we need is another set of players that play in a different managers style.

The whole "Marcel is a professional, I'm a professional" line screams an issue to me, coupled with the lack of quotes from Brands, it seems a questionable set up.

I think someone said earlier when Carlo was appointed there was no quotes from Moshiri or Kenwright. I'm sure there will quotes from Brands eventually, i imagine they're staggering the release of content to drag this out. Hopefully he was told from day one "if you take this gig Marcel will be picking the players. You tell him what you believe the team need and he'll find them but we already have these deals in works"

Fairly clear that the club gave him these positions as a sweetener for completely cutting him out of the new manager search.
