That Bielsas teams can’t defend is just not true. Just look at the stats from his time at Leeds.

In his first season they had the third best defensive record in the league. In his second season they had the best defence in the league. In the first year in the PL they conceded like the sixth most or so but they also kept 12 clean sheets and only six teams had a better record then that. We don’t have to talk about his last year though ?

Moshiri has stated before that he wants experienced managers after the Silva debacle. He probably saw the stabilising influence Allardyce had on the squad. He then appointed Ancelloti as Silva's replacement, which fit in with that logic. And to be fair so did Benitez, though that was a disaster. the inexperienced Lampard has been a disaster as well so his potential approach to Bielsa might be a reaction to that.

I can understand people on a forum putting this little thought into the logic behind hiring a manager but it would really be quite an impressive level of incompetence if this is actually the thought process inside the club.

Moshiri should NOT be making any appointments

There is the problem kev. You need to make an appointment on the players available, not one of them remotely fits how he plays.
