Yeah we had reached a ceiling. But, the FA Cup final we were up against peak Chelsea and had lots of injuries. We always lacked that extra bit of quality that would have raised our level due to budgets. But there was always a structure, professionalism and determination. We seem to lack all of that now

We literally were missing our only REAL striker in Yakubu, our only REAL creative player in Arteta and the heart of our defence in Jags. I will maintain until I die if we were missing only 1 of those we win that.

Moyes took up a relegation battler team. They were Gemmill and Paul Gerrard. It’s worse than what BFS had got.

The thing is, if there is to be a new manager, he’d have to be another stop-gap surely? i.e. brought in to avoid relegation. Cos no big name would touch us with only 11 games to work with, especially with that home fixture list!
