I do like the way we are playing under him. But let’s not forget he’s lied to us over the league cup, saying he wouldn’t make changes and still did!

It’s still really annoying me and I won’t be happy with him until he takes it seriously.

Other than that, the football is good and we are improving. I’m not being fooled into thinking he’s the real deal just yet though and before the league cup I was fully behind him, he’s lost my trust as far as this season goes, as going far in the fa cup is very difficult.

Sorry if that sounds negative, but a trophy like the league cup should be our priority and not just finishing 6-10th in the league. Which we have done for years under moyes anyway.

I am one of the few, that lucky few, that will spend the next eight days looking forward to victory :)

Teams that have pressed them high gave them major problems, atm we are capable of doing that, hope psg run them ragged mid week - no Henderson is big for us, as he always plays well in this game even though generally he's cack.

It's a big test for us (which is how we have to view it). I saw midweek we are running over 1km a game on average more than them (per player), pressing more, recovering balls more, recovering balls higher up the pitch, recovering the ball more in the final 3rd etc etc. Essentially we are executing Klopp's game plan more effectively than Klopp has been. (They have done lots of other things more successfully though to be fair).

For me this is an acid test for this team. I am not overly bothered about the result, but I want to see us play our natural game. Too often over the last 10-15 years we have gone to Anfield and frozen. You've seen a massive stage fright from the players. There's no disgrace in losing but you won't ever go to the next level if you cannot execute strategy under pressure.

We might play well and lose. They are a very intimidating outfit at Anfield. They don't concede many goals or give away many chances. We played very well at Arsenal and lost. I want to see us perform well though. if Van Dijk has a great game, or Alisson, or Salah gets a couple of goals out of nothing it can happen. I just hope we don't freeze. That would be a big step forward.

The first goal will be very important. The one weakness they have is coming from behind. They go behind and can often panic. If we can keep it tight and nick a goal I fancy us. If they score first, it's a long road back.

Don't see this side freezing mate, just need 2-3 of the players a little out of sorts to click next weekend.

Watford were right to sack him tho, they were in complete freefall.

Yep, impossible situation, he obviously made it known he wanted to join us, when they played hardball his commitment wained or he played hard ball of his own.

All a phoney war, has been and is all about who stumps up the liability of Silva’s contract when he was there as is his right to claim.

Funny there wasn’t a problem between the clubs when 35 mill was changing hands in the summer.

Manager power, sucks to be Watford football foodchain, some days your a winner, some days a looser.

I'm inclined to agree with you, they didn't freeze at Emirates, Stamford Bridge or (to a lesser degree) OT. We've seen it before though, so I'll be happy to see it in front of my eyes.

I will say this though, if we play with the composure we should in the first half at the Emirates and Stamford Bridge an awful lot of nerves will set in at Anfield. They have not seen an Everton side perform that way in 20 years at Anfield. I imagine (and hope) that will filter through to the players.

Aside from the usual derby banter, this is without doubt a must win game for Liverpool. With the rate City are going at, failing to win could well be the end of their title challenge. And they know it deep down.

it would be great for us to beat them and it be the turning point in their season and they go on a bad run. They aren’t going to win the league with city just rolling teams over at their leasure but if we can beat them and they lose a couple because of it I can go to work and absolutely hammer a lad who never shuts up about them

I suspect they will have a major meltdown when it dawns on them they won't win the league. From our perspective the sooner it happens then better, as there is a lot longer in the season to go. This is what happened 2 years ago with Chelsea.

Imagine how great it would be to beat them at their own ground.

Make no mistake they'll whinge over a draw and say its our cup final if it pushes City 4 clear but to actually lose to us would have them in meltdown.

Please Everton for once do the job.
