Well today’s results put it in a bit of perspective. Spurs smashed Bournemouth and we canes Burnley. On the whole it seems we are upper mid table at the moment. But can we push on further? Now Man Utd are picking up steam we look seventy seems out of reach

We needed a response today. I have said that on here and over on twitter. That was the first beating we'd had all season, where a side ran away from us. Every other game has been competitive. The reaction was going to be very telling for me today. He'd have had to have given some harsh words after Tottenham. For any manager, if there is little reaction to that, that can mean they are done. It might sound harsh, but you look at Koeman, after he lost 3-0 to Spurs and followed it up with a 4-1 in Atalanta and he was gone 6 weeks (and several hammerings ) later.

He got the response he needed today. It will help the fans but also the players. I think it shows they back him 100% and hopefully it can be the tonic to go on a decent run over the next 7 winnable games.
