Had we booted Martinez before the Semi Final im convinced we would have won that game. Another wonderful decision by our clueless board.

Do you actually read back what you are going to post? Just in case it will make you look a bit silly?

I am guessing you dont, cos that is one of the most idiotic posts I have seen. Basically, change managers match by match is what you are suggesting.

Lol

You've just tried saying Nagellsman is a top manager? The bloke has had less success than Silva. Same with Sampouli.

You're utterly mental mentioning Zidane and Conte. And Mourinho.

Bore off ffs

Why don't you follow your own advice. I wasnt fooled by you Martinez fan boys when he led us to glorious 11th placed finishes and im sure as hell not being brainwashed into thinking all is well and dandy with this current clown when atleast Martinez had an FA Cup to his name.

I respect your opinion and all but please your preaching to the wrong choir here. I know the size of this club and its potential, pity more dont.

Didnt we sack him soon after that semi final mate when we all knew at that point the players had downed tools?

It was absolutely criminal letting him stay to manage that fixture when we all knew Utd had that game sealed from the first whistle.

I dont remember exactly when he was booted, was just glad he was.

But that said, I would give him some credit as being pretty decent in one off games. Terrible league wise mind.

To be fair mate, there was a lot of anger and a lot of expectation he would be sacked before that game. We were in an utter mess. Were conceding bucket loads and had just lost 4 nil at the pit.

I do think we may have had more of a chance if we had replaced him prior to that match. In the end he struggled on another fortnight. We got hammered by Leicester and Sunderland, and he was canned anyway.

I'd also add that the first half we served up at Wembley was beyond pathetic. We couldn't even get motivated for a cup semi final.

He's not far off. Look at his results at watford he's so patchy and its the same here. Win one week defeat the next time after time he just doesnt provide consistently as he hasnt the tactical nous or game management to go on a good run.

He also clearly can not organise a defence and we are still shockingly bad defending and attacking corners.

If Mosh had sense hand Mourinho/Mancini/Conte/Wenger/Zidane/Sampaouli/Nagellsman or any other top manager who has had success and give them a blank cheque and promise of a war chest in January and the summer to get us whats needed to make an assault on the top 6 over the next 2-3 seasons.

Absolutely no way will we achieve anything with this inconsistent clown. The club are simply wasting time and money persisting with him.

Nagelsmann and Sampaoli havent won a single thing.

Top managers my arsehole.

Every job out there is tough, you dont think going to real madrid or a chelsea is tough where one bad season (and by bad not winning La Liga or finishing in the top 4) and your guaranteed to be out the door?

Conte is unemployed

Mourinho is unemployed

Zidane is unemployed

Mancini managers Italy in which international football is 2nd rate compsred to club football these days

Nagellsman is managing Hoffenheim who are a stepping stone and have nowhere near the money or wages that we can offer

Sampaouli is managing Santos

Top managers out there and not many top vacanies other than Man Utd. Nows the time to get someone in rather than waiting.

I just don´t think the money in the transfer market would be there to tempt the top managers in the world. They´d likely want to rip the squad apart and start again, which would take a ridiculous amount of money. Silva will have at least another year to try and turn this round anyway so it is all a pipe dream for now.

Can't remember myself but im sure it was 1-2 weeks following the semi final defeat.

Weirdest cup game ever that was in terms of the fanbase being competely devoid of optimism leading upto it.

What I would give for another 09 cup run!

@EverBlue92 Soz mate.

Nagelsmann would be a risk but he's taken Hoffenheim into the CL and has them playing good football which is both attacking but also not suicidal at the back. The sort of balance we need imo.

Sampaouli is a wild card I threw in there, he's a mixed bag tbh, not done much in terms of honours but won Chile their 1st Copa America and had them playing a fantastic pressing game.

He then spent a season at Sevilla and had them in the top 4 and got them their 2nd highest points total in their history (also ended their long waited losing streak to Real when they beat them 2-1)

His biggest mistake was leaving Sevilla way too early for Argentina as it went tits up for him.
