See some parallels with Jardim in him. Would be a risk but one worth taking in my opinion, especially when you consider the alternatives.

I still think they are hoping Unsworth can get through the next few games relatively unscathed, and announce when people are feeling better about things.

Perhaps then Silva will join us in the summer, although 6 months is a very long time at EFC.
 

Is Marco Silva the real deal?

Marco Silva is a name that has recently come to the fore. The innovative manager has certainly made an impression in England as he continues to push Watford up the table. With Silva being so new to the Premier League, few know his career credentials and how far he can take his new team.

Starting his managerial career in his native country of Portugal, Silva guided Estoril in a three-year reign. His highlights included qualifying for the UEFA Europa League as well as breaking numerous club records. While Estoril don't have the World's biggest public profile, Silva was certainly doing well to push them forward. It isn't often a manager holds a three-year post at his first club. While Silva was laying down the foundations at Estoril, the rest of the country started to cast an eye over his qualities.

Then came his break. Sporting had been taking note of Silva's 116 games in charge of Estoril and were particularly impressed with his 46% win rate, especially at a mid-table club. The then 36-year-old was determined to take his chance in filling the boots of Leonardo Jardim. He did well at Sporting Lisbon. Bizarrely, he was eventually sacked for not wearing the club's suit to a league game. While Sporting moved on, so did Silva, to Greece.

Olympiacos proved to be his best project so far in his career. Despite lasting as manager for less than a year, the young manager recorded 38 wins from 48 games, a ridiculous statistic. Not only this, he engineered his team to score almost 120 goals his 48 game reign. Six months after finishing at Olympiacos, Silva was ready to make his name, this time in the Barclays Premier League.

Most of the Premier League fans were laughing at Hull City, even more so, for employing a manager who had zero experience in the English game. He was asked to save them from relegation in the space of five months. It was near-impossible task, the Hull City board were asking so much of Mr Silva, especially with a depleted squad with morale on the floor. Silva soon corrected the Tiger's form, particularly at home, where the new manager failed to lose a game in his first seven home games (six wins, one draw). Eventually, it was Hull's home form that almost kept them up, Silva had more than impressed in his debut six months at the club, suddenly he was the talk of the Premier League.

Now, in his next chapter, Silva has taken on the task of transforming Watford into a top half team. So far, Silva hasn't done too badly, winning three of his opening six Premier League encounters. His impact looked almost immediate too, with a 3-3 draw against freely-scoring Liverpool on the opening day of the season. While it is still very much early days for the Portuguese at Watford, he seems to be doing a good job. Six games gone, the Hornets sit sixth in the table, a position that fans would've been more than satisfied. Time will tell how well the 40-year-old does in his new post, he may be someone to look out for in the years to come on the global stage.

Pretty impressive for such a young manager. The pick of the bunch for me and I can understand why Moshiri is reported to be very interested.

He relegated Hull and got 15 points after 11 games. Proved nothing.

Never employ manager who relegated his PL club.
 
Watford can drag this for eternity if we are going all out on him. We can lure him in thats for sure but I can see this taking atleast two weeks and that would be too long.

A possible spin on this could be we are giving Watford time to sort out their replacement IF Silva has been approached and is coming.
