So "head coaches" haven't been sacked...rather decided they no longer wanted to remain at Watford? Is that better lad?
Dyche obviously as the new owners wanted their own man. Zola lost confidence and jacked in his 2nd season. Saninho was the quick fix but also a fruitcake who couldn't take it anymore so wasn't offered a new contract. Jokanovich got us up but wanted too much of a bump in wages so wasn't kept on. McKinley as mentioned was never a manager. Garcia had heart problems and his replacement Flores got us safe but then basically stopped working, his contract wasn't renewed. And then Mazzari was sacked for the crap he produced last season, it was driving fans away.

Now here we are with a coach we very much want to keep hold of.

You sacked a boss who got your no marks promoted. You are in no place to lecture. Your club have no standards.

People are going to have their opinions mate. In fairness to most Watford fans they have acknowledged we have been the historically bigger club. You are right to say your owners have big ambitions, so too does out major shareholder, though the situation at Everton is far more chaotic currently. But judging Udinese and Grenada as examples, in truth I think our owners have bigger ambition, and a better platform to build it on.

I can go either way on Silva. A very talented young manager who I couldn't see being here longer than 18 months, but would improve us significantly in that time. I do think Everton is a step up, the question is is it a big enough step up to justify breaking Contract?

I’m not comparing whether Watford are bigger than Everton...they aren’t. What am I saying is that no club is too big to get involved in a relegation scrap.

This season I fear for your team. There appears to be a lot to worry about and it’s amazing how difficult it can be to turn that around

A lot of your fans on this forum don’t seem to see this and believe a few tweaks will get you rocketing up the league. Maybe they’re right...for me it looks like the problems are bigger than that

Time will tell

They are bigger than that, we need your manager thank you please

Lots of clubs hang on to the guy that got them up and then struggle so I think no matter how it's dressed up that was the main reason. Cynical maybe but I call it sensible, the press on the other hand don't really understand the difference between continental coaches and English managers, the position certainly doesn't carry the same weight.

lollol

No mate.

We're in the relegation zone and looking at him, that's where he's at. You don't go from relegating hull and managing Watford to taking over Arsenal.
But you do do it from relegating Nancy, getting sacked by Monaco and unspectacularly managing 'Nagoya Grampus' is that what you're saying?

Silva's stats at Hull were pretty much what they are at [8th placed] Watford now, it really was a very tall order to stop them going down ... to actually survive his team of no marks would have needed the form of a top six club and they weren't that far short. What do you think got him noticed by our owner? Why do you think yours is chasing him now?

Used to live in Croxley Green mate many moons ago!!!

Most fans know I think that we are in pretty deep trouble this season especially because of the obvious lack of fighting spirit we have complained about after most games but it is also true that in this league if you can eke out a few decent results you can get on a bit of a roll and things look a bit better. We look very Aston Villa from last season at times which scares me but there are a lot of good individual players in the squad if they can be got into a formation that plays higher up the pitch and gets stuck in a bit more when we don't have the ball.

Not managers but head coaches and we actually sacked only one of them (Mazzarri), Billy McKinley not included as he was actually only signed to be a normal coach and was gone in two days after he started giving it the Billy Big-Boss. But please, don't let facts get in the way of what you read in the clueless papers.

It probably shouldn’t be that surprising that people who go on to other clubs’ forums desperately trying to get respect for their club aren’t the most all there

What are your fans saying when you were 8th under Mazzari at the same stage? Fans are fickle mate.

I have to agree, We are in real trouble. Once you start conceding goals and losing most games, it's really hard to change that especially when the players have an attitude that they are too good to be in this position. Southampton and West Ham are massive games for us now.

"Now"? Were always going to be. Remember we've won 4pts out of the last 6. Not as if we got nothing from them and only now find ourselves in trouble.
