At my primary school, in a small village an hour south of Auckland, Mrs Trombik’s sandwiches were always a bit of a dog’s dinner. Mrs Pottinger’s were the best. I suspect @Seathestars ’s mum’s sandwiches were better than Mrs Trombik’s but I’d be surprised if they were better than Mrs Pottinger’s. Mind you, Mrs P was no oil painting, like a shorter uglier version of Susan Boyle. I guess it’s kind of ironic she made such attractive, tasty sandwiches.

Its funny how many managers who rise to the top have wobbles early on in their career.
Many seem to burst onto the scene and then stumble under the weight of expectation, and then have to rebuild their reputation. It's probably what is glibly referred to as ' the learning curve'. But what these young managers retain is their hunger to succeed.
Two pieces of advice I received when I began work was that you learn by your mistakes, and that the sign of a true craftsman is having the knowledge and experience to rectify mistakes.
When Silva arrived at Hull he was a highly regarded young coach. He has made mistakes since but he still remains that young coach, but now he is one who has tasted a hint of failure and will have learned from it to our benefit.
Also the fact that his boss will be an ambitious and talented DoF in Brands makes this appointment doubly exciting.
I am also heartened that neither of these appointments are rushed they were clearly thought through and were
some months in planning.
Of course there are no guarantees in life or football , but I am curiously confident and optimistic that Moshiri has made the right choices and I am looking forward to next season with anticipation, and in the end that's all I can ask for at this point.

I just want him to be announced - not cos I particularly want him but more because I’ve been loading up on him in the betting. There doesn’t appear to be any other contenders and I’m expecting to collect ‘free money’. I’ll be coming after joey66 if something goes wrong here

Have had place in Calpe and previously holidayed in moraira.
There’s a weird Chinese up a hill; right near a small secluded beach. Except for small bar. Lovely spot.

Doubt he will be in place until 1st of June when Brands starts.
Wondering more about Eddie Howe. Worked his way up with Bournemouth. Kept them up. Progressing. Not a big club there, and he is an Evertonian. Something to be said for someone who "gets it", after FS. Thinking back to Harry Catterick - give him time, and reach for the top. Not sure what Silva has that Howe does not.
