With millions in the bank courtesy of Moshiri. Hindsight is a great thing, but many where underwhelmed when we got him sadly they have been proven right. He had zero credentials for the job. At least you could say Martinez had won a trophy at Wigan (but also got them relegated) and Koeman got Southampton in Europe. However as bad as they were managing Everton (apart from their first seasons) they’re national teams are amongst the best in the world.

Any sensible club would have held talks with potential managers/their agents weeks ago when it was starting to become clear Silva isn't going to improve.

But this is Everton so, no. Fully expect another managerial goose chase while a youth/assistant coach takes charge and the season is completely ruined.

You could blame it on a number of deciding factors.

the main ones being, he’s dull as dishwater and probably couldn’t inspire anybody to do anything.
