To be fair, that's only one interpretation of what it tells you.

It's just as likely that they really believe he's capable of turning it round, but ultimately have a point at which they will say enough is enough and get rid. We all have that point, for some it was months ago, for me it was Saturday, maybe for the club it will be this sunday.

Very interesting if he gets the Leicester game...

On the one hand, enormous pressure but on the other its a free hit for him.

Id hope the reigns come off and we turn a corner.

Never know...a win puts us in an interesting position for the derby.

A lot of massive assumptions being made about the running of the club.

For all we know, they were taking the advice of certain sections of the fan base and having secret talks/lining up mourinho as a replacement then Spurs came along.

My point is we literally have no idea what discussions they're having internally. Maybe they want to stick by Silva. Maybe they have someone lined up but don't want to bring him in yet with the fixture list. Maybe the person they want to come in won't take the job until after that fixture list. Maybe they feel that the calibre of managers available now aren't any better than Silva so they'd rather stick for the moment. Maybe they are just a disorganised mess.

We really don't know.

Im genuinely considering binning Everton off. It's not brought me almost any joy in years. I can't even tell you the last match I watched thinking "yeah, that was fun!".

It's clear the club cares not one bit about it's future, why should any of us?
youll be criticised for suggesting this but there is nothing wrong with falling out of love when it’s nothing but a lifetime (for some) of disappointing aggravations.

It ruins your weekends, it costs a LOT of money, and some people genuinely get angry and make their families life a misery because of the emotional attachment to the club, I fell out of love with modern footy a very long time ago, i admit I’m a passenger watching my club barely stay afloat in a world of billionaires play things, forgetting what constitutes actual football.

What disillusions me the most is so many of us on here were saying after the Burnley game and before, you can't go into December fixtures after a run of bad results and poor performances it'll just mean confidence is rock bottom and we'll be in for beatings.

But here we are, plucky little Everton, ready to give everyone a happy Christmas.

And I oop

This can't be right.

We were appalling on Saturday . There was so much wrong in terms of shape and attitude of the team.

We have a huge game on Sunday and we give the manager AND the coach a couple of days off ?

Who the hell is taking training ?

Surely Silva and Boa Morte have been told that they are no longer required.

I think that the board feel some responsibility for the lack of key players signed in the summer. The three he wanted (centre back, box to box centre mid, left footed wide forward) were not signed.

I also feel they look at the VAR dramas which cost us 5pts.

Im sure they are also seeing we have our starting 2 centre mids out (who barely got to play together), Bernard and Delph too...

Whichever knives people have out against Silva, its important to remember that everything has gone against him.

This may actually work well in the favour for fans with Moshiri really opening up the chequebook in Jan.

They all had Sunday Monday off. They all back in training today. That picture is them coming back from Portugal
