For all the talk of board inactivity in truth we have no idea what they have been doing in recent days or weeks.
I do believe the lack of activity does mean the board are not taking the easy option of sacking Silva and replacing him with Moyes or somebody similar as that could probably have been done over the weekend.
My hope is that we have an ambitious target who is not easily or cheaply convinced to join us .
I think the time to judge everybody involved is when this eventually plays out.
I think the crowd reaction last Saturday will have convinced the board there is no way back for the manager , even though they personally may have misgivings about sacking him.
In most of the media reports I have read about the choices and preferences of Moshiri and Kenwright and most have missed the point that Brands is probably the most influential in this drama.

I can't think of one other football club in the top flight that's as much a shambles as Everton. Either back the manager or sack him, leaving him as a dead man walking going in against the two best teams in the country is insane. Nothing but humiliation awaits.

Would rather he be given a game or two than have us appoint Moyes. If they haven't sacked him because they don't have a plan, that's more damning proof that the club is a mess right to the top. Sadly, I think that Bill Kenwright being around, Moshiri being hands on yet clueless about football and Brands likely feeling sidelined, is the real state of affairs, which means that things are unlikely to get better at the top for a while. What a mess.
