Article in todays times summed by Joyce

- We fancied( or silva did) Pepe
- The lack of playing time attributed to Keane is down to him being signed by Brands
- Talked Van Gaal out of quitting when he was at AZ (Spent hours in the car with him (???)
- Iwobi was signed whilst he was 'on a boat in Dubai' and 'without a medical'.
- “the academy may as well be in Hong Kong”
- Ralph Ragnick seems the only suitable option, both Poch and Allegri 'out of reach for a club in 16th'.

lol

Brands didnt sign Keane.

It seems to me that if Silva is in charge for the next 2 games (at least) the Board will use this as a way of boosting the fans post the usual Derby defeat.
2 defeats in next 2 games expected by most, so Silva likely to carry the can. New manager in place for next home game.
Theyd better have someone lined up. They just have to. Its inept.

Three thing will happen
Win.
Lose.
Draw.

Win or Draw, he gets to go to anfield...anybody see a result there? - draw at best...still not guaranteed to go.
Lose, gets the sack - well the board gave him every chance etc.
Manages to make it to anfield, but loses - well the board really gave him every chance etc.
Goes to Anfield and wins - all bets off.

He'll get to go to Anfield as manager whatever now imho. Zero point in a new man coming in for that, unless Unsworth is going to?

Weirdly his teams play better against the big teams so he has a two game audition to whether he gets Chelsea and Arsenal and so on.

Did they actually brief this or are people just making stuff up and saying they were briefed..?

I'd imagine someone did brief it particularly if there is a split at board level.

Either way, it just underlines how they have absolutely no control over the narrative on this now.

It's really almost back to the point when Koeman was sacked. We were a running joke in the media for weeks and it's beginning again.

It can't really be a surprise to anyone anymore that the sort of managers we would covet wouldn't touch us.

It is utterly appalling communication and management from the club. Once again.

Briefing they are "considering" a change is neither here nor there.

You say nothing until you have something worth saying.

Either they publically back Silva or appoint someone in his place. There is no fence-sitting.

What does this do for morale of Silva and the players?

If we win on Sunday (!) is everything alright again?

This is supremely embarrassing. But just look at the corporate background of those at board level and you'll get your answer.

I feel sympathy with Silva under these circumstances.

Shocking mis-mismagement is occurring from the top down.
Agree!but officially the club haven’t said anything have they so really it’s just carry on as normal.they obviously haven’t said to silva he’s getting the sack or that they are considering a new manager surely because you couldn’t expect him and the players to be able to prepare especially mentally for this game they would of sacked him after that match said enough is enough and had a caretaker manager to take there first training session today.who knows really but we need to get behind the team for Sunday they may turn up and have some fight in them to and get a good result
