What should the club be saying?

I mean what can they say?

Its quite clear hes still in a job, should they tweet that hourly? Daily? Weekly?

They wont publically back him, who the hell publically backs a manager 1 game away from the sack?
If his job is in that much jeopardy (which it is and rightly so) then he should already be gone.

Either sack him or publically say he has the clubs backing. Even if it's not true it would at least silence some of the ludicrous media talk.

Sam Allardyce seemed to do ok with those players you are hanging out to dry Zat. Far too easy to say “the players aren’t good enough”. Sheff utd, Bournemouth, crystal palace, Aston villa all have squads worse than ours but they are well organised and play to their strengths.i even watched Norwich city fight and give everything for the shirt last week. We play to our weaknesses. We are slow so he picks the slowest players. There is zero fight or belief which is all instilled by the manager. How on earth do you even try to defend a manager that concedes around 50% of his goals from set plays??? How do you try to defend a manager whose record going behind is what it is. Are you off your head?
Oh that’s right, all those goals conceded from set plays is VARs fault and Steve Walsh’s

Lad Coleman came on when we were 1-0 down with Kean on the bench. This fella is absolutely hopeless.
If someone was to compile a top 5 worst substitution in PL history, Everton would have 2 possibly in first and second position. The Coleman sub and that time Martinez brought on Niasse for a defender with 10 minutes to go when we were winning 2-0 and went on to lose 3-2... Martinez probably gets the number 1 spot in worst subs ever, Silva not far behind. Edit maybe that time Souness subbed in that guy who told him he was George weahs cousin but had to be taken off a few minutes later coz he'd never played football before.

What ive actually said is that the squad isnt good enough.

Brands has signed good players but the remaining 50% of the squad know they are on the way out. Which means not enough players have been signed yet.

5 players on average per summer on permanent contracts...quite reasonable. As is Brands 4-5 years before we only need 2 signings per summer.

2 summers in, lets say 2 more to go and another 10 players added to the squad...

50% of the squad obviously not best happy and expecting to be sold or wind down contracts...of the players signed, 50% of those arent able to get on the pitch much so far.

Leicester had the nucleus of a very good side.

RB
3 × CM
1 × CF

Thats 50% of a top first eleven (minimum) who were already in place. We had about the same...i actually put us down as 6 and Leicester at 5 in terms of a joint team in summer with @FOXINPEACE

If you rip out their 3 midfielders (as ours are injured) then i would predict they wouldnt do as well. I think thats a reasonable statement...

EDIT: I forgot about Chilwell. The point stands though, 3 centre mids out...you see a different side.
I think what you are actually saying then is Sam Allardyce is a far better manager than Silva. Silva then, according to you, has a far better squad with those additions to what was an embarrassingly woeful side. Big Sam must be a genius to get them to 8th. Imagine what he could do with brands additions???

The club could kill all silly media speculation very easily by making a statement explaining their position. They don't want to because they don't have a clue what they're doing. Instead they have remained silent and have brought this media circus on themselves.

Not really ...the manager is the manager until he gets sacked . Its the supporters and the media who have decided he's going. Up to now the board has to at least show that they support him. You don't really thing Mosh has said to Silva ' We're sacking you next week...do you mind taking the Leicester game, but it will be your last. No way.

Mate, that isn't the issue! Silva knows he done, the board knows hes done, we know hes done, so sack him.

Any new manager is NOT what we are discussing!!

But the issue is who replaces him, thats why he hasnt been sacked.

I mean you want us to make the same mistake we did with Koeman? 6 weeks of Unsy while we get knocked back by every manager in the world bar Big Sam or Moyes.
