He lost Zouma and Gana in the Summer, I know some of the really smart people thought that they wouldn't be a loss, but that has now been proven to be a really stupid thought. He was given Gbamin and he got injured instantly, Silva has made mistakes, that's undeniable, but he has been left in a situation where he is going in to a double header against the leagues top two away and Tom Davies (bang average at best) is the first name on the team sheet. Horrible position.
