I voted for Gallardo in the next manager poll. But I'd be nervous whoever comes in. Maybe these conditions are not the best time and place for him, though I do think he has quality and is a cut above Silva.

He would certainly make for an exciting appointment. We could get him if we made the move now I think.

I wouldn’t call the Copa Libertadores bum and the Argentine league isn’t exactly a one team league either. We’re never getting someone who’s won tons of European leagues either are we?

I remember people raving over Funes Mori because he wellied players around in the Copa Libertadores.

Those South American leagues are not a patch on the European leagues like England, Spain, Italy, Germany etc.

Oh agreed but a lot of people said Mori was crap as well. Realistically we’re never getting a manager who’s won loads of German, Italian or Spanish titles because they’re going to be managing the top teams in those leagues. There is however better than a bloke who won the Portuguese second division and almost didn’t get Hull relegated out there

True mate but for me he's another unnecessary risk.

Stop arsing around and get Benitez/Mancini/Kovac in.

Doesn't matter if he's only managed in South America he's still managing massive clubs with massive expectations

It would be the same here. He's used to winning so if he can bring some of that mentality we might be onto something

He'll no doubt turn out to be a shambles relegate us and we'll have David moyes back in charge to get us promoted
